Since July 2013, all Mr Johnson’s surgical procedures have been recorded in the British Spine Registry (http://www.bsrcentre.org.uk/). Validated scores for pain (VAS), activities of daily living (Oswestry Disability Index ) and general health (EQ5-DL) are recorded from patient questionnaires, both pre-operatively and post-operatively. These are known as Patient Recorded Outcome Measures (PROMs). Pooled results of Mr Johnson’s PROMs at the one year mark are illustrated below. Individual patient results may vary.

Analysing the Validated Scores for Pain (VAS), we see that pain is substantially reduced in the year following back and leg pain treatments.

Analysing the Oswestry Disability Index that represents the activities of daily living, we see that an almost normal state is achieved within the year following treatment.

Analysing the EQ-5D Index that represents an overall percentage of general health, we see significant health improvements within the year following treatment.
